Foreign patient overwhelming pleased after Gastroenterology consultation at ECC

Recently, Ms. STEELE (American national), an International commercial insurance customer, visited Expert Clinic & Consultation Department （ECC） of our hospital to consult a Gastroenterology specialist. As the patient can only understand English, Dr. Shaikh Atik Badshah，colleague of the International Medical Administration (IMA) was called up to aid in doctor-patient communication. Dr. Atik accompanied the patient through the entire treatment process and obtain the patient 's praise.

    Ms. STEELE is a teacher at an international kindergarten in Futian District. She visited our hospital with complain of stomach distension and epigastric discomfort. She had visited other private clinics and was referred to our hospital for further examinations. Dr Song Jian, Director of Gastroenterology Department and an Expert at ECC inquired about Ms. STEELE’s condition and after knowing a through medical history, Dr Song suggested her to undergo gastroscopy and colonoscopy tests. Ms. STEELE agreed and made reservations for the tests. Dr. Atik accompanied the patient during consultation process and also during the gastroscopy and colonoscopy tests.  

 Before Ms. STEELE's consultation, she was very worried about our hospital’s medical services. After communicating with ECC several times, she came to see the doctor with a mentality of trying it out. After the two-day consultation and examination, she was overly impressed by the comfort, care and clean environment of our hospital, was satisfied with the consultation with the expert, the smooth and thoughtful service process, and the professional interpreter to accompany her during the consultation. After finishing her consultation while leaving, she said that, she would recommend her colleagues and friends to choose our hospital for medical needs.

With the development of the hospital, increasingly foreign patients have been visiting our hospital for treatment. To further improve the bi-lingual communication skills, ECC will cooperate with IMA to provide better service to the foreign patients.

国际医疗部协助名医诊疗中心为外籍患者就诊解难

【通讯员Shaikh Atik Badshah 李娇】近日，一位外籍商保高端客户STEELE女士就诊名医诊疗中心（简称ECC）消化内科专家门诊，因患者只能英文交流，国际医疗部安排Atik博士协助ECC翻译,全程陪同患者完成就诊流程，获得患者的好评。
  STEELE女士是福田区一家国际幼儿园的老师，她因胃胀、上腹不适来院就诊，接诊专家宋健主任与STEELE女士进行了详细沟通，为其开具了无痛胃肠镜内镜等相关检查。就诊当日Atik博士全程陪同患者与专家进行病情沟通、预约检查，次日又全程陪同患者进行无痛胃肠镜检查。

STEELE女士就诊前，曾非常担心我们的医疗服务，经过与ECC多次沟通，抱着试试看的心态过来就诊。两天的就诊和检查结束，我院舒适整洁的环境、专家耐心细致的诊疗和检查，顺畅周到的服务流程，专业的翻译陪诊等，给她留下深刻的印象，她表示未来将推荐同事朋友选择我院解决医疗需求。
