The International Orthopaedic Centre (IOC) is the first diagnostic and treatment platform in China to introduce an International Orthopaedic team that fully internationalises its personnel, management and operation. The International Orthopaedic Center was officially inaugurated on December 28, 2019. IOC has 12 world-famous Orthopaedic surgeons from institutions such as Oxford University Hospital and the medical school of the University of Strasbourg in France and is equipped with 45 beds, 3 outpatient clinics and 2 operating rooms.

The International Orthopaedic Centre aims to establish a university-affiliated hospital with a modern management model, to further deepen the reform of the Shenzhen pilot Demonstration Zone, to build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Medical Center and the "Belt and Road" international medical education center and to establish a world-class center for specialist diagnosis and treatment, physician training, clinical research and academic exchange. The specialty covers joint surgery, orthopedics trauma, spine surgery, sports medicine, bone oncology, etc., and is equipped with international nursing, rehabilitation, anesthesia and other support staff. The technical level and medical serviceability are world-class, making up for the gap of high-precision orthopedics technology and treatment of difficult and high-risk diseases in Shenzhen, South China and even China. It provides the highest medical services globally, orienting towards Shenzhen, Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, Southeast Asia and countries along the “one belt, one road”.
