2019年10月20日，来深务工人员患者张先生工作中不慎从高处坠落，不能动弹。10月30日，南方科技大学医院骨科团队，为张先生实施手术，首次采用O形臂辅助天玑机器人精准“操刀”，手术获得圆满成功，24小时后病人已下床活动。经文献及数据库检索，本次手术属全国首例。

On October 20, 2019, Mr. Zhang, a migrant worker from Shenzhen, fell from a high place and was unable to move. On October 30, the orthopaedic team of SUSTech Hospital carried out an operation for Mr. Zhang，by first time using the o-shaped arm  to assist Tianji robot to operate the scalpel accurately. The operation achieved completely success. Twenty-four hours later, the patient was able to get out of bed. According to the literature and database, this operation is the first in China.
